Simon Ryghseter (born 24. July 1995) also known as Mr. Simon, is an artist and producer from Norway, based in Tanzania. From an early age, he loved playing musical instruments and singing in his local church in Norway. He received his first drum kit at the age of six as a Christmas gift from his parents and started to cultivate the dream of becoming a musician.
Mr. Simon is best known for his musical work with Harmonize, and has more than 35 million streams to his name, as a producer and songwriter, after only two years in the East-African music industry.
In several radio interviews Mr. Simon has talked about his love for Afro Music, and his burning desire to help genres like Bongo Flava and Afropop develop and grow further out to the world. And with support from some of the biggest artists in Tanzania, Mr Simon decided to release his own music. His debut single "Don't Wanna Lose You" featuring Tanzanian star Maua Sama was released in March, 2022.
