The Reverend Dr. Rick Bauer is a veteran touring musician and record producer from South Florida who has released eight solo albums under the name Mr the Invisible while crafting productions for a wide variety of other artists. A former voting member of both the Artist's and Producer's wings of the Recording Academy, Father Rick earned his doctorate from Duke Divinity School and is an ordained priest, currently serving as the Rector of Saint Edward's Episcopal Church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
His latest album, Begin Again, combines soulful laments of spiritual wondering with driving rock melodies, deep-rooted elegies, and catchy beats as it explores the complexities of being in relationship and fostering a sense of ”place” within ourselves as we navigate a life filled with love, loss, and the neverending search for our center. Begin Again’s lyrical poetry strips away the ego and has one sitting down with an old friend, embarking on a musical conversation that sifts through life’s constant change, delivering an honesty and vulnerability that jettisons hopelessness placing the listener at the intersection of faith and understanding.
"I trust that there’s meaning making in music, and that the soundtracks to our lives invite us to travel back in time, to remind ourselves of the people, places, and experiences that have made us who we are."
