I've only been making music since 2021, but it's not that long, honestly. What I usually do is play around until something good comes out, I really don't care about fame.
I first started on BandLab, all I did when I first started was just a bunch of drum spam. Slowly but surely, I realized what genre I was good at producing (which is drum spam but better). I use FL Studio Mobile (which is absolutely slept on), I have ZERO Windows devices or even any computers. My only computer is just a Chromebook, which is also one of the MOST USELESS LAPTOPS EVER. (Shit, am I off topic?)
Update: I can only use my shitty Chromebook to make music now lmfao, my phone broke.
