MTR Project's songs are from vocalist-guitarist-songwriter, Martin Thomas Reed’s hard walked life. Many of the lyrics on their originals were inspired by his decade of living through addiction, life on the street and his incredible journey of recovery. His hard fought battles birthed in him deeply felt and personal lyrics that many can relate to. MTR's vocal style is powerful and delivered with passion!
Lead guitarist Andy Beech shines on the recordings with melodic blues driven to face melting leads. Best known as the man who built Prince’s guitars and a touring guitar tech with Ozzy, Andy shows off his real talent as he shreds throughout the MTR Project debut.
The rhythm section features drummer Mike Hommel and bassist Dave Rees, both veteran musicians of the Seattle scene. Mike has a long history of recording and live shows, most famously with Shawn Smith in All Hail the Crown.
Dave was there at the beginning of grunge and continues that tradition, an original member of Malfunkshun and founding member of Skindiver.
And then there’s Brody Rees! At just 16 years old he is already making his way onto the biggest stages in Seattle as the newest member and secondary lead guitarist for MTR Project! This band of Seattle's finest players, MTR PROJECT, have landed a spotlight appearance on King 5 Evening Magazine, and is in regular rotation for Seattle's 99.9FM The Rock Loud and Local Show!
MTR Project is currently working on their second album at Dhaitre Studios. 2023 We>me
