Muchacho is an indie band hailing from the suburban strip mall paradise of Florida. Blending dance grooves, quirky 1980s post-punk vocals, modern synth sounds and choppy guitars, they’ve honed a sound that has been compared to contemporaries like Phoenix, Bleachers and Foster the People.

The American trio's (Jesús Núñez, Dan Farias, & Nick George) modus operandi has been fueled by a rambunctious and adolescent DIY spirit. Being raised in the land of retirees and bleak shopping malls has left the group with minimal creative outlets. Their retreat from the mundane quickly became their studio to write music juxtaposed to the apparent lackluster surroundings. All songs are self-produced and self-recorded in Jesús’ tiny 600 sq ft apartment or Nick’s garage-turned-studio.

The long time collaborators reunited after a 2 year musical hiatus, forming Muchacho in early 2018. After the disbanding of their previous band 'Supros', the group began experimenting with different sounds including the introduction of synthesizers and kid's toy keyboards. Choosing to challenge the creative process, the three abandoned their respective roles. Trading their posts to equally assume the role of songwriter/producer.
