2 Drunk fellas at a Halloween party decided to form a throwdown heavy metal band and there emerged - Mucus Mortuary - a name which has got no fucking meaning to it. Recruiting members - Jai, Anonikvnt and Lyon, the band focuses on intense beat down riffs accompanied by immense ejaculation on the drums delivering and feeding the hunger of many who needs to simply vent their anger and frustration. We hope to bring a new level of madness in the pit and we can only do so, with the support of my brothers and sisters in the metal community.
Mucus Mortuary has recently worked with local media outlet Rice Media, putting on The Mucus Show, a live gig which they performed with a local ASMR artist, The ASMR Doctor, in an effort to bring awareness to the metal scene after a year of tough crackdowns on metal shows after the WATAIN incident happened in Singapore where a swedish metal band had their show in singapore cancelled 2 hours before it began due to a petition that blew up locally. The gig was a massive success as well as the accompanying video helping raise awareness and understanding that metalheads and people that listen to metal are just..people, like you and me.
They have also recently released their first single "<a href="spotify:track:32apG0ZrsTDDQP971GhCg9" data-name="Garang Guni">Garang Guni</a>" which is a tribute to the rag and bone men of old. This song was featured in collaboration with local media outlet SHOUT in a video series called "My First Time", where 5 people new to extreme music try fronting a metal band for the first time.
