Sun kissed 'Hazy-Reggae’ groovers MUFASSA & The Summer Haze always bring the lush summer vibes with a smile - Nkechi Anele (Triple J).
Drenched in dance floor rhythms, they mix traditional reggae influences with classic 70's surf tones, big brass hooks and their froth for a good time!
Originally from the Sunshine Coast, MUFASSA has recently taken base in southwest WA after raising a family on the road for the past 6 years. His style is deeply rooted in the sounds of the Australian coastline, drawing inspiration from its unique and natural beauty.
This loveable and laid-back Lion shares songs about his nomadic travels across the sunburnt plains of Australia and beyond, about life and all its challenges, about finding and losing friendships, and of course, about family and love.
With three studio EPs under his belt (reaching no.2, 3 and 5 on the National AMRAP Regional Charts) MUFASSA is preparing for his next releases throughout the summer of 25’. ‘Tallulah’, ‘Setting Sun’ and ‘Feed the Fire’ will continue where he left off from his most recent ‘Drifting Away’ EP. The upcoming tracks will see MUFASSA solidify his creative bond with Lord Tanuki himself, aka Paulie B, a master of roots music (Yama-Nui Studio - Sunshine Coast).
East to West, North to South, life is a combination of salt, sand and sounds for this musical journeyman! Follow the journey, connect online or at a show near you, support by buying some merch or simply, enjoy the tunes x
