Muhamago

Muhamago has lived many musical lives. Each shaped by his curiosity and love for sound. Growing up in a musical household, his father, a jazz pianist instilled in him a deep appreciation for music. At just 12 years old, Muhamago began his journey into production with a simple tape recorder, setting the foundation for his future as a sound collector and multi-genre artist.

Early on, his passion for electronic music caught the attention of friends and local DJs, leading him to become a professional DJ under the alias MidnightMachiine, as part of a duo. MidnightMachiine gained recognition both locally and internationally, paving the way for Muhamago to explore new creative avenues.

His artistic evolution saw him delve into film scoring, traditional Mozambican music, and the mbira, an instrument central to his heritage. He co-founded the electronic duo N’DiiGo with singer-songwriter Dattie Capelli and collaborated with Lenna Bahule on her solo Kumlango tour, blending traditional and modern sounds in innovative ways.

Now, with years of production experience behind him, Muhamago is focusing on his solo project, crafting a musical universe where the past and present collide.
