Mark Hutchinson is the singer-songwriter behind Muntjac. His songwriting is influenced by the poetry of Leonard Cohen, the raw emotion of Nick Cave and the breadth and experimentation of David Bowie.
He released of his debut album ‘Stranger’ in 2001 - described as "pure genuis” by PapaG. ‘Jubilee' followed in 2022 - Still Small Voice’s album of the year. An experimental self-produced album, ‘Liminal' followed in 2023.
He has been back in the studio this year working with Matt Weeks, his producer and collaborator on ‘Jubilee' on a new collection of songs - with plans to release as a double album, “Naked… and Unashamed” in 2025.
His first Christmas song, ‘Gifts’ is out in time for Christmas 2024 - a little sprinkle of joy.
