Muntu is the voice of a global generation. Born in Germany of Congolese origin, raised in Luxembourg and the speaker of 5 languages (French, English, Luxembourgish, German and Lingala) gives Muntu a perspective unlike many others. At a very young age Muntu began falling in love with music, but it wasn’t until he experienced a spiritual self-discovery, triggered by an event earlier in his childhood, that he took songwriting seriously. Inspired by the gospel roots that his family derived from and the Hip Hop culture of his youth, Muntu began making cover songs of some of his favorite artists, including @<a href="spotify:artist:3aQeKQSyrW4qWr35idm0cy" data-name="T-Pain">T-Pain</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7bXgB6jMjp9ATFy66eO08Z" data-name="Chris Brown">Chris Brown</a>. This quickly turned into Muntu writing his own original songs and further discovering his voice as a singer and rapper. By age 19, Muntu partnered with Sony Music Publishing and <a href="spotify:artist:4Xz5sxFWivrXWQlDlO25is" data-name="Jumpa">Jumpa</a> making his own way as a recording artist and songwriter/producer. He’s been awarded with a gold certified record for <a href="spotify:track:1upzszB5JxMfNUEBmkcgaO" data-name="gebe auf.">gebe auf.</a> and a #1 album award with Mike Singer for his songwriting since then. In the course of the last few months Muntu’s been traveling around Europe and the United States expanding into the US market. As of now he’s independent preparing his first project and slowly working his way up to the top.
