Museeq prides himself in his musicality and having been exposed to music at an early age. The fact that his father watched a lot of interviews and music documentaries to learn more about music and the terminology did not help matters. He grew up on the staple of music until he got to Durban University of Technology where he says he hung around musicians. He was registered to study Retail Business Management but found a home in the music department. Remembers Museeq: ‘I was so drawn to music, I hardly attended classes. Most of my time was spent in the music department, the sound of pianos and guitars was not noise to me but was like me responding to a calling of music’.
