Music With My Insane Friend

Music With My Insane Friend formed somewhere around 1993/4/5...there are tapes, we just don’t know where most of them are. There was, at least from one side, a distinct disinterest in performing. We played and recorded reasonably regularly for a few years then stuff - can’t remember - happened and it stopped. There was a momentary re-connection, not as MWMIF but as two members of The Big Spider Band, a larger free improvising ensemble - quartet or quintet - from which MWMIF was, like fish or frogs, originally spawned.

After this singular event around 2000, there was again no communication for quite some time, over a decade. Then from a chance stumbling across a strange internet site a message was sent out into the virtual void... ”Is that you my insane friend?”

The result, Autumn 11...the rest is as they say, in the bell curve, and just like the noble gas radon, the radioactive duo Music With My Insane Friend was reborn.<br>
