Muzz is a Jazz Quartet from the bustling port of Rotterdam. They play purely for the joy of playing and discovering the myriad possibilities of harmony and rhythm. Muzz finds the purest joy is in listening and conversing while playing. Jan Willem Tulp plays piano and composes most of the songs. His father Dick Tulp provides the solid groovy bass foundation and George van Gestel spices it all up with saucy drums. Anton Vanhoucke makes the tenor saxophone sound like a storyteller recounting of faraway places.
Their Jazz heroes vary from Miles Davis, Art Taylor and John Coltrane to Christian McBride, Herbie Hancock, Kenny Garrett, Chick Chorea, Roy Hargrove and Jacky Terrason.
