Mvd Funk blends the melodic and cultural influence of Indian music with the raw energy of Shatta, Dancehall, Reggaeton and modern electronic club music.

His production is driven by powerful 808s, deep sub-bass, infectious rhythms and energetic vocal arrangements, creating a sound that connects Mauritius, India and the Caribbean.

As both an artist and producer, Mvd Funk focuses heavily on international collaborations, building bridges between Mauritius, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Réunion, France, India and the wider Caribbean music scene.

Rather than simply reproducing existing sounds, Mvd Funk aims to develop a recognizable Mauritian approach to Shatta, introducing Hindi melodies, Indian influences and new production elements while keeping the movement’s energy and dancefloor character at its core.

His vision is to help create a stronger musical connection between the Indian Ocean and the French-Caribbean Shatta movement, bringing Mauritian artists and producers into international collaborations.
