Mxrcxl (pronounced Marcel) is an Alternative Metal act from Rotterdam, The Netherlands,
and is solely the creative vision of writer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Marcel Janssen.
Though it is not considered a band or traditional solo project per se, Mxrcxl can be
considered a solo act.
After the release of the unanimously well received debut album `In Alarm’ In November 2016, 3 European tours followed as well as countless club and festival shows and support slots for Therapy? (IR), The Midnight Ghost Train (USA), Raketkanon (BE) and others.

`In Alarm’ for me is a very personal album, about a chaotic state of mind. Panic, if you will.
It’s dark, loud, lyrical, alternative metal, with strong melodies and hints towards pop. It’s not about being the heaviest band you ever heard, the loudest riffs, and thickest grooves. I don’t care for that.
