The Louvain based band was established by brothers Mats (vocals, guitar), Jasper (bass, synths, backing vocals) and Vincent Mulier (drums).
In 2014, the band recorded three tracks at Motormusic studio. This resulted in many performance opportunities. Two years later they released two singles (Break These Walls, Wake Up Call).
These 5 powerfull tracks led them to multiple stages and festivals, among which Jospop (BE), Gentse Feesten (BE), Marktrock Leuven (BE), Genk On Stage (BE), Vestrock (NL)... Their energetic live show combined with surprisingly fresh and solid sounds ensured that the trio was the catch of the day for many spectators.
After this time period, the threesome retreated to the studio to work on a new chapter, named ‘More Than This’. This EP will be released at the end of October 2019. With its mix of alternative indierock, synths and catchiness, you can expect a whole new sound.
For their new EP, MDIR worked together with none other than Tim Toegaert (Janez Detd, Fleddy Melculy, De Fanfaar) and producer Stef Exelmans (Atmospheres).
