My Funeral

Dark thrash metal from Helsinki, Finland.

MY FUNERAL is a four piece dark thrash metal band from Helsinki, Finland. My Funeral represents the new, more extreme, wave of thrash metal, where old school thrash elements blends with crossover, hardcore and groove metal. My Funeral has released four full-length albums, two EP’s and toured Finland and Europe extensively.

In 2019 My Funeral reached the finals of the Finnish band contest ”Tuska-Torstai”, and received rave reviews from thrash legends Janne Joutsenniemi (<a href="spotify:album:4YmeiVlpwuzA0zvQR85xK8" data-name="Stone">Stone</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4hj24ozWgxB4zFEnkL6xgL" data-name="Suburban Tribe">Suburban Tribe</a>), Janne Hyrkäs (<a href="spotify:artist:2LBteY4vnSD2zKwAgzOijB" data-name="Mokoma">Mokoma</a>) as well as Laura Vähähyyppä, program host at the Finnish radio channel ”Radio Rock” and Tuska Metal Festival organizer Jouni Markkanen.

My Funeral released their long awaited fourth full length album on Friday 7.10.2022. Titled &#34;Funeral Manifesto&#34;, the album delves thematically deep into the mind - mental disorders, setbacks, but also victories in life. The album is released through Finnish record label Inverse Records.
