Ray Davies, John Lennon and Robert Smith served as his role models.

At the moment David feels comfortable with these songs, and with his band, drummer Danny Weber and bass guitarist Clemens Albrecht. With the guitar, with the English-language vocals and the lyrics, which often have a black humor, are always contradictory and ambivalent. A naivety flashes in them, as if they came from a boy to whom being left alone in the world means being overtaxed.
