Mysko Disko

Mysko Disko consists of Viktor Hertz and Andreas Gejke, both born in Sweden in 1983. They met in first grade and grew up together making gory action home movies on a VHS camcorder. Andreas played the guitar and listened to Iron Maiden and sentimental lullabies. Viktor played the piano and was more into classical music and Autechre.

Now, 25 years later, despite their wide differences in taste and sources of inspiration, they’ve engaged in a musical relationship where all genres and influences are welcome. Their debut single is a 10 minute Country-Reggae-Disco-Electro banger, which also comes with a comedy music video, set in the pandemic of 2020. Both being filmmakers, they made the whole video themselves, including cinematography, directing, editing and even acting.

They had saved up for their long-awaited traditional trip to Thailand with its beautiful beaches, spicy food, full moon parties, buckets and fire shows. Then came covid-19 and shattered their dreams. However, instead of giving up, they go on a road trip in a rented RV and create their own Koh Phangan in the Swedish forests.
