Mystigma

Seit 2005 bestehend, ist Mystigma das kreative Werk der Brüder Torsten Bäumer und Jörg Bäumer. Während Torsten als Sänger und Frontmann für sämtliche Texte verantwortlich zeichnet, komponiert Gitarrist und Keyboarder Jörg alle Songs, die stets von einem dunklen Sujet getragen werden und ein Trademark der Band darstellen. Unter dem Einfluss der aufstrebenden Gothic- Metal-Bewegung in den 1990er-Jahren fußen die Kompositionen Mystigmas auf einem düsteren Rock-Fundament, welches mit Komponenten des Metal, Electro und Dark Wave angereichert ist. Bands wie Paradise Lost, Type o Negative, Depeche Mode, Deine Lakaien und Dead can Dance nennt die Band als ihre Einflüsse.

Einen hohen Stellenwert besitzen zudem die Songtexte, die dorthin gehen, „wo es wehtut“. Unterdrückte Gefühle, Sehnsüchte, gesellschaftliche und persönliche Abgründe werden psychologisch anmutend betrachtet.

Formed in 2005, Mystigma is the creative work of brothers Torsten Bäumer and Jörg Bäumer. While Torsten is responsible for all the lyrics as singer and frontman, guitarist and keyboardist Jörg composes all the songs, which always have a dark theme and are a trademark of the band. Under the influence of the up-and-coming gothic metal movement in the 1990s, Mystigma's compositions are based on a dark rock foundation, which is enriched with components of metal, electro and dark wave. The band cites bands such as Paradise Lost, Type o Negative, Depeche Mode, Deine Lakaien and Dead can Dance as their influences.
