NAAKYEUM

NAAKYEUM is a soulful R&B singer that hails from Korea. She released her first single, “없다 (Feat. Dynamite)” in 2015 and worked on a string of soundtracks for K-dramas. Some of her other R&B and jazz-inspired tracks such as “FRee” and “What I Desire” exhibit her signature rich vocals and empowering lyrics. NAAKYEUM’s career as an independent musician skyrocketed into the public eye, especially after her participation in season two of the famed Korean singing competition show, “Sing Again.” The show highlights strong contenders who are some of the best in the industry, but are relatively unknown to the masses. NAAKYEUM fit the bill as a long-time vocal coach for some of the biggest entertainment companies in K-Pop, including SM Entertainment and DSP Media. The alluring vocalist also had a stint gigging around the country with jazz bands, quickly labeling her as a “jazz singer” on the show. NAAKYEUM waxed a jazzy arrangement for TVXQ’s “Mirotic” with Shin Yoo-mi, which was lauded by the judges of the show and left a strong impression on the public as well.

Her latest track, “Glass Ceiling,” has been included in the popular Netflix K-drama, “Queenmaker.”
