Together with her beloved left-handed guitar, in 2021 Nadila Wantari released her first single "Reminisce", which signifies a farewell to her previous life as an idol in JKT48. Starting as an independent musician, in her first year, Nadila released an EP containing four of her own songs Reminisce, Suar, Ambang, and Lantang.
She collaborated for the first time with Drive on the single "Anomali," and also released a recycled version of the legendary 2000s song "Jangan Lagi”, from Wong. In 2023, Nadila released Fase, a song she specifically wrote for her late father. This song is also dedicated to those who have experienced similar losses. It speaks of longing and forgiveness.
For Nadila, being a musician is about honesty in her work, representing various emotions of many people through melodies and lyrics. She draws inspiration from her favorite musicians, including Foo Fighters , Red Hot Chili Peppers , Paramore, Alanis Morissette, and many others. Nadila also incorporates her honest and slightly informal writing style, inspired by various Indonesian musicians such as the late Chrisye,
Tulus, and The Adams Band.
Representing alternative rock with a touch of pop and modern synth elements, Nadila aims to showcase the diversity of music from solo female musicians in Indonesia.
