Rome via D.C.-raised, South London-based artist/vocalist, Naima Adams melds contemporary R&B with finely layered vocal textures, personal storytelling and a soul-capturing tone.
Having toured & performed alongside Sampa The Great, Allysha Joy, Celeste, Nadeem Din-Gabisi and Sofia Grant, and influenced by her time spent within the London jazz community as organiser/DJ of label/club night, Touching Bass, and co-founder of SE London multi-arts collective, Scrapbook Mixtape, Naima Adams continues to push forward her newly-launched solo project with latest single, ‘Stay’, a glimpse into the tussle of navigating the realities of an inner city existence.
Following her debut live festival appearance at last year’s Cross The Tracks, and the release of her first two singles, she received praise and support from BBC Radio London, Bandcamp Radio and Jazz FM, with playlist support from Line of Best Fit, Somewhere Soul, and Spotify.
She was a Roundhouse Resident Artist for 2023/24 and her next offering, produced and written with London composer, producer/multi-instrumentalist, Marla Kether is the third and last single from the forthcoming Somewhere Soul compilation, Rituals Vol. 1, out now via RE:WARM Records.
