Getting noticed by Billboard’s Editorial Director with just one song on Soundcloud is rare for an independent artist, but Naïmah's powerful, ethereal voice paired with captivating lyrics makes it clear why.
Naïmah, a Washington, D.C. native, defies musical genres with her organic/electronic sound, honoring the legacy of Black musicians in country, rock, soul, and pop. Her music has been featured on Beats by Dr. Dre’s "Flowers for Black Women" playlist campaign alongside icons like Nina Simone, Lauryn Hill, and Solange, in CW’s "Batwoman" and "Kung Fu," and on various Spotify editorial playlists. Influenced by artists from Sam Cooke to Phoebe Bridgers, she won the International Songwriting Competition in 2016 and reached the semi-finals in 2022. Among her notable performances, she has performed for Stevie Wonder and was invited to the White House during President Obama’s administration. Now based in Los Angeles, Naïmah is gearing up to release her long-awaited debut album while collaborating on projects for film and TV.
