Nalva Aguiar started as a TV and radio artist in her hometown in the '50s. In the '60s, she participated in the recording of a Nísio e Nestor album. In the same decade, she became a pop/rock artist in Rio de Janeiro, changing for a pop-sertanejo style in the '70s. In 1976, she had a big hit with the re-recording of "Beijinho Doce" (Nhô Pai) in 1976, included on the soundtrack of the film O Conto do Vigário. In 1984, she recorded with <a href="spotify:artist:5vY559DZMyUwsSYRGDZd7U">Teixeirinha</a> the LP Guerra dos Desafios.
