NAMES are a six-piece band from Rye, Victoria, blending psych, punk, rock'n'roll and country into a gritty, distinctly Australian sound. Rooted in the spirit of the Mornington Peninsula and steeped in the chaos of garage shows and coastal nights, NAMES channel the raw urgency of The Peep Tempel, the storytelling heart of Paul Kelly and the sonic ambition of Radiohead.
Their music swings between tense wiry punk energy and expansive emotional depth. Sometimes within the same breath. There's a sense of defiance in every riff, but also a deep connection to place and feeling, grounding their noise in something truly human.
Onstage NAMES deliver a full-throttle love show: loud, loose and always on the brink of falling apart in the best possible way. It's an experience that's part pub gig, part ritual and truly unforgettable.
