In recent years, Nanna Bottos has been a co-writer for various Danish and foreign artists and has among other things gone gold and platinum in Japan with songs she’s written for the k-pop bands “TWICE” and “NiziU”.
However - it’s a long way from k-pop to Nanna's solo project, which comes after her many years as a member of various constellations, e.g. the girl band "Ida Red" with whom she released the radio hit "Wildflower" in 2018.
Nanna makes alt-pop and her music brings to mind names like Kacey Musgraves, Sascha Sloan and Phoebe Bridgers. She has an ironic distance in her lyrics which deals with heavy subjects such as life, death, anti-capitalism, envy and anxiety but also hope, humor and self-reflection.
It's raw and honest and puts into poetry the thoughts that many of us have, but don't always dare to say out loud and at the same time reminds us that life is beautiful.
