NANOOTAÏ

NANOOTAÏ is a singer, songwriter, and composer based in Paris, France.

She began her musical journey at the age of 6, when she started learning the piano. After 3 years of vocal lessons, which helped her find her true voice and style (a soulful pop infused with jazz influences), she started writing poems that soon turned into songs. But it wasn’t until she graduated as a dentist that she decided to pursue music more seriously.

Melodies are at the core of her creative process. They often come to her mysteriously, as if they were whispered by angels, in her ears. It can happen in her dreams, or when walking in an empty street. She then quickly records them as voice memos, which will later serve as the fundation to her songs. Her creative process is spontaneous, often unexpected, always exciting, but never forced.

"Where it all began" is NANOOTAÏ’s debut EP. It is composed of 6 original songs, which came to life thanks to the arrangement work of Philippe Thuillier (member of the Versailles-based band Saint Michel). In this project, she shares her doubts, dreams, hopes, and worries about the future, both as an individual and a civilization. This EP is an ode to Nature, a call to open our heart, to come back to ourselves in the present moment, where the source of creation flows… Where it all began.
