Born in New Milford, New Jersey, Jersey boy rapper Nasair has been surrounded by music since he was adopted at 3 1/2. After 9/11, his dad lost his job and his family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where the rapper’s father’s family lived. During the transition to a new life in Indianapolis, the young rapper stumbled across Eminem’s The Eminem Show, showcasing rap to Nasair for the first time! After repeating and repeating the album, he became in love with the harsh heavy lyrics and style. He then started writing his own lyrics that pertained to what he’s been through. His entire family was musically inclined so it’s as he would say “Meant to be.” Participating in multiple choirs in high school, and performing during school plays made a huge influence on his music career as he gives credit to his cousins for doing the same thing when they were in high school. There then was a time where Nasair teamed up with Quinn Barney, an older high school friend to create a collective full of local independent artists called GreenHouze Labs. The collective started having shows on Butler Campus at house parties, as they had friends who attended the school allowed them to perform. After popularity grew on campus, the collective went on to find bigger venues to continue performing multiple times a week around the city of Indianapolis. The singer, now rapper has thrown himself into his writing not only focused on making great music but also sticking to what he wants to say within it.
