Natalie Exora, a talented musician from Trinidad, now calls Toronto her creative home. As a teen in a local band, she opened for major global acts, and more recently has collaborated with Canadian Juno artists. A defining moment came when she performed with Canadian Music Hall of Fame legend Rik Emmett of @Triumph, who told her simply, “You need to sing.”
She just released her first island song, Sweet Salty Love; a tribute to the land that raised her and the sound she grew up on. Her debut single What Are You Waiting For? an infectious synth-pop track with ‘80s flair and her follow-up Perfect, a dream-pop ballad, earned praise from Canada’s top music critic Darryl Sterdan, who called it “a silky, supple slice of pop balladry.”
Her double single Nightlight / Nightlight (The Flipside) explored the duality of motherhood. Side A a fun, EDM dance track; Side B a raw, emotional piano ballad. Some days you dance it out. Some days you cry it out.
Natalie recently released her first cover: the iconic ‘90s ballad More Than Words by Extreme.
With over 50,000 Spotify streams this year, steady Caribbean radio play, and press coverage from Canadian Beats, Young Entertainment, #1 Daily The Trinidad Express, BK on the Scene, and Cleveland.com, fans are eagerly awaiting what she’ll create next.
