Nataraja is the alias under which Lennart Trenkelbach is realising his creations. The name Nataraja is rooted in Sanskrit and is one of the names of the Hindu God Shiva. It can be translated as "Lord of the Dance". The God Shiva represents the cosmic consciousness and this is one of the reasons why Lennart is connecting Shiva's name with his music. His primordial intention with music is to awaken in other people sublime states of consciousness and the awakening of the soul. Lennart believes in a higher purpose in art than the mere representation of ones subjective personality but rather to infuse the art with certain objective truths. Lennart is thus practicing certain Yogic and Tantric techniques before he composes any music in order to invoke sublime melodies that will awaken the longing of the spiritual heart to merge with the absolute.
