Natasha Jaffe

Natasha moved to Berlin in 2012 after finishing a Master&#39;s Degree at Temple University with cello legend <a href="spotify:artist:1as7wFWs4N8wwZmRMv29Eg" data-name="Jeffrey Solow">Jeffrey Solow</a>. She also previously studied with Dr. Mathias Wexler, and before that her parents, renowned cellists <a href="spotify:artist:1XmseXCD7U6lluoOtSVI52" data-name="Claudio Jaffé">Claudio Jaffé</a> and Johanne Perron.

Her first band was Steve Goldberg and the Arch Enemies in Philadelphia. They introduced her to using effects with an electric cello and playing with drums and bass. Once she moved to Berlin she met <a href="spotify:artist:1quMAp2YAz3SDEs0OmTIET" data-name="Enda Gallery">Enda Gallery</a> (now <a href="spotify:artist:17vcSw40ZyiruoeNtuOPM0" data-name="delush">delush</a> ), a recent arrival in Berlin from Ireland, who was looking for someone to go busking with. What followed was a summer full of busking in Mauerpark and elsewhere in Berlin, and playing tiny gigs in tiny bars for tiny audiences. There she hung out with the later-more-famous <a href="spotify:artist:0i5oKqsPL21cwL7acxZfNI" data-name="Charity Children">Charity Children</a> and other buskers, getting to know the Berlin scene.

Since then, she has played with hundreds of amazing Berlin musicians. She has collaborated with <a href="spotify:artist:1Q0XwOiUX35YuVvqXaw8D8" data-name="Lucho">Lucho</a> on his album <a href="spotify:album:6bO3UTabCl3PGUWSe2S0VI" data-name="La Luz Que Nos Quema">La Luz Que Nos Quema</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:5tAJq4Xzig2TBhopNOMf0t" data-name="Lapwings">Lapwings</a> on all of their Spotify releases, <a href="spotify:artist:7uUU1zucDznW43utroo6RO" data-name="Dorothy Bird">Dorothy Bird</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:5egdXjtpyCz8HZwYjVK09f" data-name="Vernon D Hill">Vernon D Hill</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:1VmFMvivwnEAn9zgLpoMO7" data-name="Marco Torrance">Marco Torrance</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:282qGm7AIB7C4E0Lp0zxBb" data-name="Sören Vogelsang">Sören Vogelsang</a> among many others.
Her primary love for music is still based around the cello, cello sounds, and especially the sound of many cellos playing together. She has released <a href="spotify:album:72g8XV8L1ewp5KYWBLrDmS" data-name="Cello in Bloom">Cello in Bloom</a> in 2020 and Cello in Reflection in 2022.
