Nate Scheible is a DC based musician by way of Cleveland who has performed and recorded in a variety of bands and ensembles spanning multiple genres over the past 20 years. Regular collaborators include Sarah Hughes, Ian McColm, Layne Garrett, Luke Stewart, the Nancy Havlik Dance Performance Group, the band Mock Identity, and countless others. As a solo artist, Scheible's primary focus involves tape manipulation. His 2017 solo recording, “Fairfax,” released on the London based ACR, blends decaying loops, acoustic instrumentation, and found sound to create the emotionally charged narrative of an anonymous woman as she prepares an audio diary for a distant lover. It received praise as one of the top 10 cassettes of 2017 on both the Quietus’ “Spools Out” feature and Bandcamp’s “Hi Bias” column.
