Singer-songwriter Nate Thomas has curated a folk-country sound indebted to bluegrass and Americana. Showcasing raw, acoustic ballads in tandem with blistering banjo and honky-tonk electric guitar, Thomas’ music finds a home in dive-bars and intimate theaters alike.
Playing bars and small venues since he was 13 years old, his years of performance experience and training in poetry at New York University is featured in <a href="spotify:album:52zsQd9YC4ktFL74N8wvEQ" data-name="MOONSHINER EP">MOONSHINER EP</a>, a demo released and available for streaming on all platforms. Each track on the demo displays an admiration for the tradition of Americana lyricism composed with upbeat or lush instrumentation. Thomas is currently recording his debut, full-length album from which singles will be released throughout 2025.
Nate’s backing band, The Moonshiners, play a medley of songs live including originals, covers of today’s folk-country artists, and traditional bluegrass standards.
