Nathan Spicer

Sydney based songwriter, Nathan Spicer, explores the sentimental yet heart-wrenching confessions of youthful ignorance. With distorted vocals and multi-layered guitars; each sequential track represents another look into boyhood and the identity that tore and stitched him back together.

Nathan’s debut album, “TOMORROW” (2020), is a preemptive introspection for the right and wrong ways to handle change. Written in a timeless manner, the lyrics and accompaniment of vocals are a new frontier for his work, and each subject reinforces the melancholy of self-criticism and genuine regrowth.

His upcoming smaller project “HEARTS” (2024), contains three singles written, recorded, and produced exactly one year apart from each other. Each track is a cross section; a failing relationship with its constant hope. Interweaving references, empathic solutions, and a dying youth. Heartache symbolism, and simplistic production. In spite of everything, this project exists in the spotlight.

With his best friend/backing drummer by his side, his live performances only serve to elevate the shared chemistry of his heavy-hearted rhythms and faithfully wistful lyricism.
