Native Love is the musical alias of musician, songwriter and all around dope dude formerly known as Monkey Tree A.k.a Monkey A.k.a Christopher J Sanchez out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Trying to blend alternative pop/rock with hip hop/ funk (it’s Indie folks) and whatever else sounds good to his ear, Native Love has one goal and it’s clear.
Confuse the hell out of you but make you smile and tap your feet and dance. With his genre switching, thoughtful, depressing and yet, upbeat tunes.
The boy likes to dance, “climb trees” and make music. Not much except to listen to it, if you like it, then you do, if you don’t, then you don’t. Just have a good life, feel the vibes and he’s glad you saw him if only for a moment In time.
The name Native Love is inspired by not only his Native American culture but also his mission statement to accept everyone as they are, cause that’s all he truly knows how to do.
