Nax (Xander Stok) has been a recording musician for over twenty years. Lead singer/guitarist, producer and songwriter of <a href="spotify:artist:6Y4SgUdlzTgSbmKba01ncJ" data-name="The New Shining">The New Shining</a> known for their radio hit <a href="spotify:track:1Q1MkVRV5DvXMiqEhlUV18" data-name="Can't Make Up My Mind">Can't Make Up My Mind</a>

In the Spring of 2014, after a period of lengthy and thorough deliberation, he decided to take a pause from his band The New Shining. Nax’s debut solo album <a href="spotify:album:6CUmQhOglBOsHFoKPoTV5K" data-name="Heart Fire Home">Heart Fire Home</a> was released in the Spring of 2017.
Shortly thereafter he started writing album <a href="spotify:album:6WXldQHGJ6QccZZwZfoWKw" data-name="Elephant">Elephant</a> for <a href="spotify:artist:6Y4SgUdlzTgSbmKba01ncJ" data-name="The New Shining">The New Shining</a> (released Oct 25th 2019).

Tho his main focus remains on his band <a href="spotify:artist:6Y4SgUdlzTgSbmKba01ncJ" data-name="The New Shining">The New Shining</a> he will continue to release songs as a solo artist every once in a while.

Most songs Nax writes are autobiographical. His music is all about honest, heartfelt, real lyrics.
One of the recurring themes is his struggle with depression.

Or as he puts it: &quot;My music is dedicated to &#39;the invisibles’, the people that fight courageously in silence. I&#39;d like to let them know that they are NOT invisible, they are not alone. It&#39;s not about my story, but to create a new one. One that hopefully changes &#39;invisible&#39; into &#39;I SEE you&#39;.&quot;
