Young indie-rockers Near Mrs formed in late 2018, with Ryan Webb (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Taig O’Shea (Lead Guitar), Will Kirk (Rhythm Guitar), Taylor Wadman (Bass) and Toby Wilson (Drums).
Since debuting on streaming services in March 2019, the 5 have amassed over 100,000 streams on Spotify alone with a string of singles, airing on BBC Introducing multiple times in the process and earning praise from the likes of Radio X’s John Kennedy. Their most recent headline (February 2020) sold out local venue Rough Trade with capacity upwards of 200.
Written while in Covid-Lockdown, the group’s most popular and recent track ‘Face The Wall’ is the second single that will feature in the imminent debut EP ‘Sanguine’ in June.
Their journey so far has yielded various other achievements such as being Future Sound of Nottingham finalists, topping the Cambridge NMG Top 5 chart for a month and mildly impressing Will’s mum.
