Recording Artist, Music Producer, Audio Engineer, Songwriter, & more from Chicago, IL. Nēc16 began his music career in July of 2016, but did not officially start until 2019. Prior to this it was just something he picked up from his mother may she rest with God. She use to always listen to all types of music. It was one day when his sister may she rest with God, was just making a beat on their living room table & he started freestyle rapping to it. His sister & mother was like I didn’t know you can rap like that. Then they start making phone calls & inviting people over for him to rap to. Everybody who was listening to him said he was good. So he started writing lyrics. He went to school & let his peers hear it & they were very amused which made him wanted to do more. Later down the line he started going to studios. He didn’t like how they would mix his music so he took matters in his own hand & learned how to record & mix his own music. He also got tired of rapping to the instrumentals of other artists songs so he begin doing his own beats. Due to unfortunate chain of events like getting shot 6 times, having multiple surgeries, & losing love ones made him stop doing music on & off. Coming to his senses he continued with his music in which some said if he never stopped he would’ve been made it big. So he started to pursue it even harder & smarter. Now as an independent artist Nēc16 holds trademark & licenses for his music. He is now getting on the radar.
