NEEDSHES is the alt/rock band founded by prolific singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Otabek Salamov originally from Tashkent (UZ). With a musically diverse experience in mind, he conceptualized the ideology of NEEDSHES in 2013. Someone once described them as a balancing act between the moody vibe of <a href="spotify:artist:77SW9BnxLY8rJ0RciFqkHh" data-name="The Neighbourhood">The Neighbourhood</a>, with dainty anthems reminiscent of <a href="spotify:artist:0C0XlULifJtAgn6ZNCW2eu" data-name="The Killers">The Killers</a>, a bit of the oddball nature of <a href="spotify:artist:4FZ3j1oH43e7cukCALsCwf" data-name="Jack White">Jack White</a>, and the heartbreaking ballad skillset of <a href="spotify:artist:4gzpq5DPGxSnKTe4SA8HAU" data-name="Coldplay">Coldplay</a>.
Bek attended the music academy where he was awarded the first price for his precision on clarinet. As a teen, his interests varied, and he was drawn to compose metalcore. One day he decided to dilute it with melodic undertones. Soon he realized that the switch was something that gravitated to his liking. He decided to create a new project. His biggest influences stemmed from James Brown, David Bowie, Queen, The Killers, Jack White, RHCP, U2, a-ha, Coldplay.
Since conception, they have topped the iTunes charts with songs &quot;Time to See,&quot; &quot;Anything You Want&quot; which have been featured in international movies (Break ‘19) and TV ads (Lay&#39;s, Renault). Having supported <a href="spotify:artist:1kNQXvepPjaPgUfeDAF2h6" data-name="You Me At Six">You Me At Six</a> live and performed at the FIFA Fan Fest, NEEDSHES have garnered support from American Songwriter, Topsify, idobi Radio, Indiemono, Alt Press, PopMatters, Amazing Radio, and BBC Radio 6 Music. In 2019 they released the third album Truth Power. In 2020 they won the Independent Music Awards (Song Used in Ad Campaign) with &quot;Unbelievable&quot;
