Neptune Blue combines the best of both worlds. Literally. Record label owner and Dutch producer/ guitarist Hugo Hoeksma established a collaboration with LA-based musicians Chris Hodges (singer), Zak St John (drummer), Andrew James (bass) and Greg Pajer (guitar) to form progressive rock band Neptune Blue. The band wrote seven songs, and in collaboration with producer / sound engineer Ronald Prent (Simple minds, The Police, Def Leppard) these tracks were recorded both in LA and at the legendary Wisseloord Studios in The Netherlands.
Neptune Blue’s hitsingle ‘Heartbeat’ received a surprisingly warm welcome: beside a lot of airplay on both Dutch and American radio, ‘Heartbeat’ quickly made it to the top 5 of the Dutch Indie Charts.
In a short amount of time the band developed a fan base drawn to them by stunning live performances with bands such as Steel Panther and Dokken. They easily made their way in to the LA music scene with performances at top of the bill venues such as The Roxy, The House of Blues, The Saban Theatre and many more.
In december 2018 they will be joining Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry on his US West Coast tour.
