Young, multi-talented and tapped into what people are listening to, Ness Wilson will be many things to many people on his journey. The Brooklyn-based R&B singer, songwriter, producer, and drummer aspires to be a truly individual creative like his biggest influences Michael Jackson, Prince, and Pharrell.
Ness was writing songs from a young age, getting the beats from his friends. He eventually decided to start making the beats himself to recreate the music he envisioned. In the process, he found the sweet spot between R&B, Trap, and Pop while fearlessly adding alternative and Caribbean-influenced
In 2014 Ness moved to next phase of his career as he began interning with DJ Stefano, a European producer working out of Moody Mammoth Studios in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn. Ness began releasing his songs on SoundCloud and was energized by the encouraging response he was getting.
With newfound confidence in his rapidly expanding abilities, Ness took a shot and Tweeted one of his most popular songs, “Sex In The Lounge,” to Nicki Minaj. To his surprise, the pop culture icon Tweeted him back saying she loved the song and the two began discussing creating together. From there Ness inked a songwriter/producer deal with Cash Money Records and started working closely with Nicki, who used his song “Sex In The Lounge”, adding features from Lil Wayne and Bobby V, on her Pink Friday Reloaded album.
