NESSUNO is the project of Lothar Hempel (b. Cologne, Germany), musician, visual artist & filmmaker living in Berlin. In the 90's he released under various pseudonyms on the EMI sub-label Harvest (w/ <a href="spotify:artist:5zzqzIMneFGMgiufQNGoBI" data-name="Jörg Burger">Jörg Burger</a>), on Sony Music and on the Cologne label Kompakt (Blitz, Magnet).
His multifaceted work includes music, sculpture, drawing, painting, installation, video and performance. He often develops his works from found and sometimes historical pictorial material, as well as from well-known figures of mythology, history, theater, film and pop culture.
NESSUNO's music feature influences ranging from Krautrock to German chanson. Various songs are sung by the French soprano Alexandra Matloka.
