Hello, you cool cat!
My name is Nevaeh, and it is very nice to meet you through this bio.
I've been songwriting since I was 16, and since then I've been able to couch surf and car camp and tour solo across Canada (I'm from BC) and the UK, playing anything from coffee shops to street corners to house concerts and festivals.
Let's make something clear: I don't play music because it's my passion, I play because people are- because YOU are.
I think we hide too many hard conversations in our current society, and talking about the uncomfortable is a HUGE inspiration in my writing. Creative people being undervalued, the current lack of women's rights, consumerism, how grief never ends- why do people stop checking up on us a week after loved ones have died?? Farts, burps, embarrassing stories, all of it. I believe life is universal.
I hope through my songwriting you can feel a glimpse of the glimmering thread that is my artistic goal, which is to take an experience that you felt alone in and make it raw and real and a little silly and GLOBAL. Trust me, there is always someone who can empathize and relate. 98% of life is realizing you're not alone.
