Neverlyn is an alt rock group from Livermore, California founded in 2013 by guitarist and dual vocalist Nisha Rangel, and frontwoman Anna Neitzel. Nisha and Anna met in their college music theory class when the two were only nineteen and sixteen. They began writing music reminiscent of early 2000’s pop punk with punchy guitar riffs and catchy melodies. After many band member changes, Merik Perez joined in playing guitar in 2018. Not long after, their good friend Karah Lenzi joined on bass, and finally in 2021 the 5 piece was completed with Mitchell Tom on drums. Currently Neverlyn is working on new music.
Over the years, Neverlyn has been working hard to perfect their craft and expand in their art. Neverlyn has had the opportunity to play at notable spaces such as the historic punk venue 924 Gilman in Berkeley, CA, along with other venues such as Brick and Mortar in San Francisco, The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, as well as out of state at venues such as The Showbox in Seattle and The Hawthorne Theater in Portland. In a mostly male-dominated genre of music, Neverlyn wants to assert a powerful feminine flair and fill the demand for more women in alternative music. With the completion of their most recent studio album, the mostly female powerhouse has no plans of slowing down.
