New Ellum is an Americana/ Alt-Country band based in Dallas, TX since 2019. Their name is an homage to Deep Ellum, the music, art, and culture center of Dallas.
New Ellum's sound is rich with layered vocal harmonies and compelling musical melodies. It has a touch of soul and a bit of blues, topped with a Texas twang. The songs tell stories of love and loss, returning to your roots, family, friends and fishing.
The band currently consists Jason Michael (songwriter, lead vocals, guitar), Jonathan Mesh (producer, guitar, mandolin), Randy Morris (bass, vocals), Orion Pitts (fiddle, vocals), Chelsea Greenan (keys) and John Solis (drums). New Ellum is thrilled to welcome vocalist Jessica Maros (Escondido, Lord Huron) to the band.
