Nguyen Hoang Long (born March 2nd, 1999), also known as “Nger” or his rap alter ego “McKey”, is a rapper, singer-songwriter from Hanoi, Vietnam.
Nger’s music career started in the last months of his senior year in high school in 2017 when he wrote and performed his first song “Vương”, on his High school’s Prom night under his alias “Nger” – a play on the word “Ngơ” meaning being a fool.

But Nger’s breakout hit didn’t materialize until well over a year after his initial debut. Right before he left Hanoi to pursue a college education in Japan, Nger met with Nân and CDSL Art Collective at a small local cafe and befriended with them soon after. Thus making him one of the first artists to appear on the roster of CDSL. This made his first viral hit “Tình đắng như ly cà phê” the Art Collective’s first attempt at managing and publishing music.

After releasing “Tình đắng như ly cà phê” and moving abroad, Nger started to experiment with rap and Old-School hip-hop. He draws a lot of his inspiration from the great Tupac, the Notorious B.I.G, and other great hip-hop artists. Infused their gritty urban sound with a more melodic take on the genre. Ever since then, Nger had released multiple hard-hitting tracks such as “Hands Up”, “/CDSL/” and collaborated with many of the scenes top talents.
