Growing up, music has always been a part of my life. My dad always DJed all types of music including electronic music while it was still underground, before the term "EDM" was a thing. Listening to all of the tracks that pushed the boundaries of electronic music by music pioneers was inspiring and fun!
Though I grew up around music I was never interested in producing until I was about 14. The journey really started when my mom passed away in 2006 when I was 7. Through it all and through the many support groups and therapy, I was never really open about my feelings, but I still needed some type of outlet.
Through the summer camp "Hands Together Heart To Art", a summer camp dedicated to helping children grieve the loss of a parent through the arts, I found my passion for music. From there I found my high school "ChiArts". I dove deeper into my craft through music theory, piano, and vocal performance classes just to name a few.
In 2017 I debuted as Niam. Fast forward some years, with some production placements, performances here and there, and some new tracks, Niam is ready to take over the galaxy. I chose the space theme as a dedication to my mom. Growing up, when I would look up at the night sky, I firmly believed that she was the star that was shining the brightest looking down on me.
I want all of my listeners to know that no matter what you've been through, you're not alone and music is a gift for us ALL to help us through. Keep jamming!
