The prolific, genre-hopping, Sydney/Gadigal based artist and producer Nick Griffith is a perennial mainstay of the local scene. His self-recorded music has a unique personality and texture. Hailing from the rural city of Wagga Wagga NSW, Nick developed an early love for writing songs and the community of playing in bands. Moving to Sydney shortly after finishing high school, he would spend the following decade recording albums and touring with Big White, High-tails and Bored Shorts. Nick now gives us his highly inventive and inspired solo project.
Nick Griffith’s previous three records “7AM”, “Something I Once Heard” and “What Do We Do While We Wait?” are cult favorites and received album of the week on FBi Radio and 2ser while Dave Ruby Howe of triple j praised Nick’s “Demi-god level” contribution to the local scene. The albums picked up features in The Fader, Happy and NME Australia while singles found their way into Spotify's Local Noise, Alt Here and Fresh Finds.
