I'm a reflective singer-songwriter and my writing is about me trying connect head and heart. I'm also a chartered psychologist, which is another (very different) way of doing the same thing. (In fact, I threw the line, "you joined my head to my heart, my clever head to my weak heart", into the song, "What Would You Do?", which is a love song to David Bowie ❤️)
I released three solo albums under the name of @CatDesigners; "Chemical Jazz" in 2003, "Strange Little Creature" in 2004, and "Tomorrow Never Knows" (a cover of the Beatles album, Revolver) in 2006. I've added my two original albums in my playlists.
Life interrupted my musical output but I've been writing and recording throughout this apparent hiatus. I also play bass on Simon and the Spears 2021 album, "Eclectic Shock".
My 2022 album, "Rooms", was the first to be released under my own name. It reflects trying, and failing, and trying again, to maintain mental wellness.
"Hard Rain" was released in 2024, the first of several albums with songs inspired by Bob Dylan. "Vain Gods" will be out in early 2025 and "If Only ... What If" will follow later in the year. I have two other albums written and the recording has started (but no release dates yet). So much to do ... and only one of me!
The link to my Wikipedia page is below. There are so many errors in it that I wouldn't trust it. I didn't write it. Would it be narcissistic to correct it?
